The title to my new book is Understanding Worship: Biblical Foundations for Delighting in and Feasting on God (Zondervan, 340 pages).

This is the fourth book that I refer to as my Understanding series (Understanding Spiritual Gifts, Understanding Spiritual Warfare, and Understanding Prayer preceding it), all of which are available on Amazon and in Christian bookstores.

Here are the Contents of the book. I hope you can see that I tried to address virtually every topic on the subject of worship. If I failed to say anything about your primary concern or if I failed to answer a question about worship that you often ask, I apologize. But my publisher thought a book of 340 pages was already long enough!

I suspect that the two most controversial parts of this book are my description of how charismatics worship God and my critical analysis (and ultimate rejection) of what is known as the Regulative Principle.

Electric guitars and drums and amplified instruments have zero place in a church based on Scripture & Tradition. This music is satanic.
Hi Sam! So blessed by this series. Understanding Prayer and Spiritual Gifts have been a significant tool used by good to grow me in both those areas.

Will there be more parts to this “Understanding Series”? Would love to see a scholarly, charismatic-Calvinist treatment on Evangelism and missions!

God bless brother, hope you are encouraged in these days!
